Indeed he did - and John Lyall put a good team out for that testimonial as well. I saw the game but from memory it wasn't the best of crowds.
I was on the chicken run and we swapped banter with George Parris when he took a throw in cos there was a picture of him in the programme as he came over we told him that he looked much slimmer in the picture. typically of George, he burst out laughing with us - happy days when the players appreciated the banter with us

Played with him at St Bons, he was MOTM when Bournmouth beat Man U in the cup, had Mark Hughes in his pocket. Tony was with our youth team

Chris AMPOFO was a good central defender.and his younger brother Gerhardt was outstanding.
Tony LARONDE was a useful little striker whilst his younger brother Everald was for a little feller absolutely magnificent in all of the defensive disciplines and was a natural leader .

And typical of John Lyall and the way he looked after his players he made sure that even though Ampofo never played for the first team he got a testimonial
